About this newsletter
Everyone has something to say. If I thought I wasn't filling a niche, I wouldn't do this. But for the 3,000 or so members of the Jewish community out here on the edge of the continent between the bay and L.A., there isn't much public conversation about our issues.
After writing letter after letter to the editor to the local paper, I decided that I would just share my views with willing recipients and not give them the patina of fairness they gained in an endless loop of (1) write article reflecting poorly on the Jews (2) publish letter to the editor in response.
So, just as this is about "the rest" of us out on this edge of civilization, I also wanted to imply that it's largely just my interpretation to borrow a quip from Hillel.
